A rich and varied collection of 5 pieces by Joan Miró — comprising a rare limited edition artist book and 4 original color lithographs hand-signed by Miró, each with a Certificate of Authenticity from Collectors Comp Inc. All in excellent condition.

1. Ediciones Polígrafa Barcelona / The Redfern Gallery London (1979)

A rare and important limited edition catalogue — 1 of only 1,000 copies — produced for the exhibition of artists who worked for Ediciones Polígrafa, Barcelona, held at the Redfern Gallery, London, December 4, 1979 – January 31, 1980. Policies has specialized in fine art graphic printing since 1910 and published with the personal collaboration of artists including Miró, Picasso, Moore, and Dalí.

This extraordinary catalogue contains 20 full-page original color lithographs, with a Joan Miró cover (Polígrafa XV Anos, 1979 — Mourlot catalogue raisonné #1192), plus works by Eduardo Chillida, Christo, Henry Moore, Graham Sutherland, Rufino Tamayo, Antoni Tàpies, Wilfredo Lam, Sebastian Matta, Zao Wou-Ki, Vieira da Silva, and others — an extraordinary roster of 20th-century masters. Essay: "The Art of Printing, the Mugas and Ediciones Polígrafa" by Daniel Giralt-Miracle. All lithographs printed recto only with the artist's name verso. Heavy paper throughout. Measures 8" × 10".

Note: A deluxe edition of only 100 copies was also issued with a signed portfolio — this standard edition of 1,000 is itself rare and collectible.
