A tall, sculptural Murano glass table lamp from 1970s Italy, shaped like a tapering cone with a gentle twist at the top. Fine black stripes are drawn through white glass and spiral upward as the form narrows, so the lines seem to move as you walk around it.
The glass itself is the lampshade. Turned off, it reads as a crisp black-and-white sculpture. Turned on, the whole body glows, warm and bright at the base and fading to dark at the tip, with every stripe outlined in light.
A true statement piece for a console, sideboard, bedside, or corner, and a strong fit for postmodern, Hollywood Regency, or mid-century interiors.
