Arne Norell (1917–1971) founded Norell Möbel AB in Aneby, Sweden in 1954, producing a tightly edited line of leather lounge furniture that has become benchmark collectible. The "Ari" chair — named for Aristotle Onassis, a rumored admirer — is among his most iconic designs: a low-slung, generously scaled lounge chair with a solid wood frame, leather cushion seats supported by saddle straps, and a profile that is simultaneously relaxed and architectural. Norell chairs appear regularly at Wright, Rago, Bukowskis, and major Scandinavian auction houses, where authenticated pairs routinely achieve $4,000–$12,000.

This pair presents beautifully — the leather retains its character and the overall form is intact.
