Candle Holder - Patina

Description: Designed + Signed by Steven Holl This candlestick is made of bronze and treated with acid to achieve it's distinctive green patina. Holl was interested in exploring how the natural process of acid etching could reveal the inherent qualities of the material. This candlestick holder features a minimalist and geometric design; this reflects Holl's architectural sensibilities. He considered the relationship between the candlestick and the space it occupies, creating a sense of balance and harmony. Holl approached the design of the candlestick with the same rigor and thoughtfulness he applied to his architectural projects.
