FUR-124 — Jeffrey Bigelow — Signed Lucite & Glass Coffee Table, 12"H × 60"W × 20"D, Two-Section Base, c.1970s–80s
A signed Jeffrey Bigelow Lucite and glass coffee table — a genuine example by one of America's foremost designers in cast acrylic furniture. Bigelow, active from the mid-1970s onward through his Jeffrey Bigelow Design Group, brought a sculptor's sensibility to Lucite, producing pieces that reward viewing from every angle as light plays through the transparent material. His signed work trades actively on the secondary market and is collected alongside names like Phyllis Morris and Charles Hollis Jones.
This example features a clear glass top supported by two sculptural Lucite base sections — a form characteristic of Bigelow's output. The signature is present on the base. Provenance from an East 85th Street, NYC estate adds desirable Upper East Side pedigree.
