A pair of Art Deco smoking stands by Belmet, from the “Rollodor” line, c. 1930s. Each one sits on a weighted, rounded rolling base that lets the stand tip and right itself, so it rocks back upright instead of falling over. A tall standard rises to a chrome ashtray with a match holder at the center.
They’re a fun, functional piece of 1930s streamline design, and they also work as sculptural accents beside a lounge chair or bar cart.
