A handsome pair of vintage aluminum modernist side table bases from the 1970s — clean-lined, architectural pedestals that epitomize the era's enthusiasm for industrial materials in residential interiors.

Aluminum pedestal bases of this type were produced throughout the late 1960s and 1970s by a range of American and European furniture manufacturers as versatile components for custom or modular table configurations.
